Abstract

Ortueta asserts that Alfonso VIII conquered Gipuzkoa since in his testament he requests the return to Navarre of this territory. However, Arocena does not agree and believes that "Araniello", who appears in the testament, would be "Arano". The author considers that the conquest of Gipuzkoa by Alfonso VIII has not been proven
