Dermatoglifos digitales y palmares en habitantes de Menorca.

Abstract

In this paper, the finger and palm prints of 102 males and 80 females from Menorca (Baleric Islands) are analyzed. We studied the following traits: different types of patterns, as well as the pattern intensity in the fingers. For palm prints, we considered the termination of main line D (modal types) and frequencies of patterns in the five configurational areas. It is observed that the obtained values are in accordance with the range of other Spanish populations, as well as the European ones.
