Abstract

Cultural identity is the process by which the individuals with a given set of ideas and behavior standards identify themselves. The author attempts to find the anthropologic reality of the identity by checking the different theories that exist is on the identity and by investigating in a concrete cultural context what the identity of the indigenous women would be in the urban context of Quetzaltenango
