Un ejemplo de gótico lineal tardío : el retablo de San Andrés de Añastro

Abstract

This work wants to show up the San Andres Altarpiece from Añastro that now is kept up in Burgos, Zumaya and New york. In spite of his delay, it is a piece of high quality that follows the characteristics of the main style in Europe some years before. It must be emphasized by the influence of the miniature and by his format, a great triptych. On this altarpiece the donors appear before San Andrés, their names show their local provenance. The exact date of painting is unknown but, judgin by the costume, the altarpiece might be from the late years of the XIVth century
