Abstract

While studying local communities, at least two sources of social conflict are perceived. On the one hand, asymetric relationships are usually observed within community life. On the other hand, local experiences take place within wider social, economic and political processes. Both realms of social intercourse do not occur within clear boundaries or isolated from each other. Countrariwise, they intermix in a complex manner. This paper focuses on some anthropological, as well as some historical work related to "local conflict"
