Abstract

The font was a fundamental element in the liturgic household furnishing of the medieval church. The schematic representation and deterioration of many of them has motivated the incomplete identification of its decorations. Such things made people think that there were no contents in them. Recent reports prove the contrary and show that these ornamentations were the reflection of fundamental dogmas of the baptism
