Las geografías literarias. El País Vasco

Abstract

This work is an approach to the study of the relationship between literary production and geographical ambit from different perspectives. The chosen area comprises the Basque territories to the south of the Pyrenees, and is broken down into four sections: the coast, the Cantabrian valleys, the mountainous areas and the plains. The material deriving from literary activity basically concentrates on the 18th and 19th centuries and comes from information about authors connected to the Country by different circumstances, and from testimonies regarding the physical or cultural layout of the areas studied.
